Where Your Form Submissions Land

Submitted a test form and couldn't find it afterward? Nothing's lost. Here's exactly where every submission goes — and how to find it in under a minute.

When someone submits one of your forms, it doesn't get emailed to you and it doesn't vanish — it's saved in three places inside your back office.

Most "my submission disappeared" moments come down to looking in the wrong place — waiting for an email that was never set up, or checking a tab that isn't where submissions live. Below is the short answer, then the exact clicks to find yours.

The short answer

  • Every submission creates or updates a Contact — find it in your Contacts list.
  • Every submission is logged under Sites → Forms → Submissions — the master list of everything ever submitted.
  • The details of what was filled in show up on that contact's Activity timeline (and in Conversations).
  • You only get a notification or automatic routing if a workflow is attached to the form — that's a separate step you turn on.

Look in Contacts first

The moment a form is submitted, your back office creates a new contact (or updates an existing one if the email/phone already exists). This is the fastest place to spot a test.

Contacts → sort by Date Added, newest first

Your test submission will be at the top. If you used a fake name like "test test," search for it in the Contacts search bar.

Open the master Submissions list

This is the one place that shows every submission for every form, in order, with the answers.

Sites → Forms → Submissions tab

At the top you can filter by the specific form and by date range. If you don't see your test, make sure the form filter is set to the form you actually submitted and the date filter includes today.

Read the details on the contact's Activity

Click into the contact the submission created. Its Activity timeline shows the form-submitted event with every field exactly as it was entered. The same responses also appear inside Conversations for that contact.

Between Contacts, the Submissions tab, and the contact record, your test is always in one of these three views.

Still can't see it?

Why a test submission can seem to disappear

In order, the most common reasons — and the fix for each.

Most common

You submitted from the builder preview, not a live page

A form only records a real submission when it's placed on a published funnel or website page and submitted from that live URL. Previewing or test-clicking inside the form/page builder often doesn't save a record. Fix: open the actual published page URL in a normal browser tab, fill it out there, then re-check Contacts.

You were expecting an email that isn't set up

Submissions do not email you automatically. If you were watching your inbox, that's why it looked missing — the record is safely in Contacts and the Submissions tab. Fix: see "Get notified" below to turn on an email/text alert.

A date or form filter is hiding it

On the Submissions tab, a leftover filter (an older date range, or a different form selected) will hide today's test. Fix: clear the filters, set the date to include today, and pick the exact form you submitted.

The form on the page isn't the version you edited

If you updated a form but the live page still has the old form embedded, your edits (and your test) won't line up. Fix: re-open the page in the builder, confirm the updated form is the one placed on it, then save and re-publish the page.

You're looking in a different account or sub-account

If you have more than one login or workspace, the submission lands in the account whose page you actually submitted. Fix: confirm you're logged into the same account that owns the live page.

Confirm your form is actually live

Before trusting a test, make sure real people can reach the form:

1. Make sure the form is added to a funnel or website page (drag the Form element onto the page in the builder).
2. Publish that page.
3. Open the page's live URL in a fresh browser tab (or your phone) and submit once.
4. Check Contacts — your entry should appear at the top within seconds.

Get notified & route each submission (optional but recommended)

So a new submission pings you and moves the lead forward automatically, attach a workflow to the form:

Automation → Workflows → Create Workflow → trigger: Form Submitted

Set the trigger's filter to your specific form, then add actions like send yourself an email/SMS, add a tag, or start a follow-up sequence. Now every submission both saves to Contacts and reaches you the instant it happens.
